- SVEP Wind Farm (Czech Republic)
Detailed technical, financial and commercial due diligence on a 6MWe wind farm, the first commercially financed wind project in the Czech Republic. Served as advisors to both IFC and Erste Bank’s local subsidiary, Ceska Sporitelna Bank, preparing the first wind project financing for both parties.
- Snina District Heating Project (Slovakia)
For the IFC and a major European bank, performed detailed technical, financial and commercial due diligence on a $3.9 million loan transaction a project to reconstruct two obsolete district heating distribution systems. Both projects have been implemented.
- Fitmin Biomass Boilers (Czech Republic)
For the IFC and a local bank, undertook detailed technical, financial and commercial due diligence on an investment to install agricultural waste-fuelled boilers at the largest animal feed producer in Czech Republic. The project has been implemented.
- Biomasa Pelletizing Facility (Slovakia)
For the IFC, reviewed a $2.25 million loan to finance the construction of a wood fuel pelletizing facility and biomass boilers to supply heat to forty small towns in the Zilina region of Slovakia. We recommended against financing the project; subsequent parts of the project were implemented using grant funding.
- Termanova District Heating Project (Slovakia)
For the IFC, conducted comprehensive due diligence on a guarantee for a $1.0 million local bank loan to the operator of a district heating system serving a city of 15,000 residents, for the purpose of adding biomass boilers.
