  Responsible for all business development and operations management development for an emerging energy services company that served multi-site customers, including restaurants, retail, and convenience stores. Generated over $20 Million in energy services revenues for the client in less than two years.
• Market Liberalization BOT (Poland)
  Worked with BOT GiE / BOT Elektrownia (a vertically integrated Polish power utility) to prepare them for operation in a liberalized power market. Designed and recommended appropriate management structures to be responsible for trading (electricity, emission rights and fuels), enhancement of relevant procedures, rules and risk control systems and identifying necessary improvements relating to management policy.
• Policy Regulatory Framework Analysis and Recommendation of Wind Energy (Spain)
  For the Spanish Wind Energy Association, provided work including a review of current Spanish regulatory framework for Wind energy and development of improvements in the regulatory framework in renewable energies (wind) in Spain to properly adjust the support mechanism and remove barriers to the growth of wind energy to comply renewable with energy targets.
• Electricity Pool Price Analysis/Modeling (Spain)
  Designed an electricity market model for implementation in the Spanish wind energy sector for the Spanish Wind Energy Association with the goals of: 1) Suggesting the main factors concerning electricity price evolution in the medium-term, based on a preliminary quantitative model, a simple market model, and an advanced quantitative model 2) Facilitating wind energy producers’ choice of reimbursement scheme year by year, (Pool price + premium vs. feed in tariff) considering electricity price evolution under different scenarios.
• Wind Energy Regulatory Framework (Spain)
  Conducted study providing a comprehensive overview of the best criteria in order to develop a new regulatory framework for wind energy; concluded in Royal Decree 436/2004 for the Spanish Wind Energy Association (AEE).
• Warsaw Technical University Energy Efficiency (Poland)
  Acted as the financial advisor in an EU JASPERS funded consortium preparing a Euro 34 million energy efficiency upgrade for the university.
• Renewable Energy Opportunities Review (Caribbean)
  Definitional mission for the US Trade and Development Agency to Barbados, St. Kitts and Nevis, Dominica, Haiti and the Dominican Republic to analyze renewable energy development potential and identify projects worthy of United States government support.
• CEE Energy Sector Review (CEE)
  Prepared a comprehensive review of current trends and investment opportunities in the energy sectors of Central and East European region countries for a major regional private equity fund.
• Rural Electrification Cooperatives (Yemen)
  Extensive due diligence for a proposal for the establishment of Rural Electrification Agency in the country of Yemen for the US Trade and Development Agency.
• Solar Opportunities Review (South Pacific)
  Comprehensive review of opportunities for investment in solar electricity generation on the South Pacific Island nations of Kiribati, the Federated States of Micronesia (FSM), Nauru, Niue, Palau, the Republic of Marshall Islands (RMI) and Tonga for the European Union Pacific Aid program. The best projects were presented to the EC directorate in Suva for approval of grant funding.
• Hydro Projects Review (Rwanda)
  Analyzed the economic attractiveness for two planned government-owned hydropower facilities, a 27MW station on the Nyaborongo River and a 10MW station on the Rukarara River, for a private investor. Reviewed the economics for the Mission Hospital in Shiyra to develop, own and operate a 2MW mini-hydro grid.
• Tajik Hydro Evaluations (Tajikistan)
  Evaluated the feasibility of several hydropower projects in Tajikistan, three of which were recommended for further support from the USTDA.
• Libocany Weir Hydro (Czech Republic)
  Conducted a technical and performance risk assessment of the Libocany Weir Hydropower Project, including hydrological assessment, turbine unit selection, and a performance guarantee analysis for IFC.
• ESCO Market Assessment (Chile)
  Prepared the TOR for a Technical Assistance program for the USTDA to evaluate the Chilean market for Energy Services Companies (ESCOs) and propose solutions to overcome the existing barriers for development of this market.
• Strategic Marketing Plan (CEE)
  Prepared a Strategic Marketing Plan advising IFC on how to improve marketing for IFC’s CEEF program (Commercializing Energy Efficiency Finance), an energy efficiency loan guarantee program operating in six countries of Central Europe.
• Transmission Line Improvements (Kenya)
  Provided a preliminary assessment of transmission improvements most viable for near-term implementation for USTDA and KPLC.
• Rokita CHP (Poland)
  In cooperation with the CEEPower Fund, prepared a modernization strategy for the 312 MWth CHP plant serving the Rokita fertilizer factory in Brzeg Dolny, Poland.
• Mistrovica District Heating Business Plan (Kosovo)
  Prepared a comprehensive business plan for the reorganization and operation of this midsized district heating and heat generation company.
